Contest Overview


  2. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Only a comment on a contest post via Facebook or Instagram is required.  Each winner will be chosen by The Sponsor, based on their personal choice of the best answer. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator. 

  3. THE PRIZES: There will be a one (1) Grand Prize as described below (the “Grand Prize”), at least nine (9) Secondary Prizes (each a “Secondary Prize”) as described below.

    1. GRAND PRIZE: There will be one (1) Grand Prize available to be won during the Contest Period. The Sponsor will choose the best answer, in their opinion, over all contests to win the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize consists of the ground-portion component of the Lost Beaches Travel Company 16-Day: Island Bliss Thailand travel tour. The prize includes the stated ground-portion component for one person. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $1729.00 CAD. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during Promotion period. The Grand Prize winner will receive the tour components as outlined by, and subject to, the 16-Day travel tour itinerary as dictated by Lost Beaches Travel Company.

    2. SECONDARY PRIZES: A total of nine (9) Secondary Prizes are available to be won each consisting of either: (A) a “Buy One, Get One” offer; the winner must purchase one (1) Lost Beaches Tour beginning July 31 2017 at full price in order to bring a friend on the same tour for free; or (B) $250 CAD towards round trip airfare on a common carrier as part of a confirmed booking on any length Lost Beaches Tour beginning July 31 2017. Airfare discount may be used in conjunction with The Administrator’s current promotion of $100 CAD off 10 day tours, $200 CAD off 16 day tours, and $300 CAD off 26 day tours. Payable once full tour payment has been received. Odds of winning a Secondary Prize are dependent on the total number of eligible entries submitted each day of the promotion. The approximate retail value of the Secondary Prizes depend on prize A (winner chooses tour length: $2339 CAD for 26 days, $1729 CAD for 16 days, $1325 CAD for 10 days) or B ($250 CAD). Odds of winning a Secondary Prize are dependent on the total number of eligible entries submitted each day of the promotion. Secondary Prizes will decrease as won. Limit one (1) Secondary Prize per person.

  4. Contest is open to legal residents of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, who have reached the age of majority in their respective province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law, or where skilled giveaways incur taxation. Employees or contractors of the Sponsor(s) and immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with any such employees or contractors, are not eligible to enter.

  5. Winner(s) will be chosen by The Sponsor on June 17, 23, and 30. The odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received. Winners will be tagged and contacted via the platform they entered on and will have forty-eight hours to respond. If no response is received within forty-eight hours, another winner may be chosen. Administrators are not responsible for prize fulfillment nor for any technical failures. Winning entries will be verified. A list of winners will be displayed each week on the original contest post.

  6. Facebook and Instagram are in no way associated with this giveaway. If applicable, social media posts (such as but not limited to Facebook and Instagram posts) must be PUBLIC to be eligible. A reply to the winning PM/DM is required within 48 hours before a new winner is chosen. The winner’s entries will be verified.

  7. Residents of Canada will be required to enter a skill-testing question to claim their prize.

  8. Administrators and sponsors reserve the right to publish winner’s first name and last names.

  9. Contact information for sponsor(s), if applicable, can be found in the contest text via Facebook, Instagram, or website links. Retail value of prizes is listed in the contest text.

  10. Images included in the giveaway post may not depict the exact prize, and are for illustrative purposes only.

  11. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: By entering the Contest, entrants (i) acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the independent contest organization and/or Sponsor, made in its sole discretion, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. Entrants who have not complied with these Official Rules will be disqualified.

  12. If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an on-line entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address provided at the time of entry. An “authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

  13. GENERAL: The Sponsor and the independent contest organization do not assume any responsibility and are not responsible for: (i) the incorrect or inaccurate capture of registration information; (ii) entries which fail to comply with the Official Rules; (iii) any loss, damage, or claims caused by the awarded Prize or the Contest itself; (iv) any failure of the Website during the Contest Period, including any problems, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed, or garbled data or transmissions, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines, or technical malfunction of any computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail; or on-line registration to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer or other electronic devices related to or resulting from downloading any material in the Contest, all of which may affect a person’s ability to participate in the Contest; or (v) any other matter whatsoever. Registration/Entry material/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, (i) the laws of the Province of Alberta and construed in accordance with the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws applicable therein in respect of residents of the other Canadian provinces and territories, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any attempt by a entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. PRIZES ARE AWARDED “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER BY SPONSOR OR THE PRIZE PROVIDER, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTY AS TO MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR INTENDED PURPOSE.

  14. The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or suspend this Contest or to amend the Official Rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice and without any liability whatsoever. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering or infection by computer virus, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest and conduct the random draws from all previously eligible entries received by the date of cancellation. Sponsor has no obligation with respect to printing, distribution production or other errors. The Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, provincial and municipal laws.

  15. All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, trade names, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, logos, slogans and representations are owned by either Sponsor and/or their respective affiliates or authorized licensors. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted materials or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
